The Characteristics Of The Stock Market

“This world is subject to change and destruction from moment to moment; it is like a river, a seed, a lamp, wind, a cloud; like a monkey who is always restless, like a fly who is ever in search of unclean things and defiled places, like a fire which is never satisfied.

Again, thought is like a water-wheel or a machine:

it goes on rolling the wheel of transmigration, carrying varieties of bodies and forms... causing the wooden figures to move as a magician moves them.”

... The Buddha (The Lankavatara Sutra)

Likewise, it is naive to believe that the stock markets move purely according to natural economic forces of supply and demand.

Please be warned, stock markets like defiled places, are always manipulated by ‘magicians.’

The most powerful manipulators are those with the most money (the hot money from financial giants with their resources and privileged information) that work in concert to create bubbles and burst bubbles.

Here’s a fact: The speculators and hedge fund managers who run today’s stock market need market volatility in order to make money.

They can’t make enough money if the market stays flat or moves only within a narrow band, so they like extreme, sudden and surprise price movements.

Their intention is to deplete the life long savings of many a honest wage earner.

The law says, whatever goes up must come down And whatever hits the bottom must rebound

Heads they win, tails you lose.

Be prepared to ride the roller coaster and stomach it :)
